1. What did you do in 2019 that you'd never done before?
Live solo!
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any resolutions, but I kept to some goals, and that's the one that matters.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin Sophie did, but that's proximity by blood, not by relation.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
My uncle James died. I came home from work and dad nonchalantly said, "Did your aunt tell you he died?" That was shocking.
5. What countries did you visit?
I didn't even visit EORZEA because I was unsubbed for the 2nd half of 2020, ha...ha...ha...
6. What would you like to have in 2021 that you lacked in 2020?
Anything more than this.
7. What date from 2020 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
There weren't any particularly memorable dates, but I finally moved back home on March 18th 2020 - the first day of MCO.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Submitted a piece to the Commonwealth Short Story Contest, AND a novel for Fixi Novo's novel contest!
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not spending my time better, I guess.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No injuries, but I didn't feel great occasionally. And I didn't get COVID!
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A new car!
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
People who followed the SOP, I guess...
13. Whose behaviour appalled you?
Everyfreakingbody else. The politicians. The conspiracy theorists. The ones who thought they were immune to Covid. Screw all of you.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Frivolities. I think.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
RPing in FFXIV. Yep.
16. What song will always remind you of 2019?
The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights".
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Neither.
ii. thinner or fatter? Pretty sure I gained weight after moving back home. Regular gym/swim time plus lazy eating habits tends to do that.
iii. richer or poorer? I'm not sure. Money goes everywhere.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
The stuff on my to-do list. I got the big ones out of the way, but not the smaller, somewhat healthier routines.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Playing FFXIV, still.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Quietly sitting at home, marvelling at all my FFXIV Discords going WILD at the thought of Christmas festivity.
21. Where did you ring in 2021?
At home, cranking out 8000 words to conclude a novel...and then submitting it.
22. Did you fall in love in 2020?
Nope.
23. How many one-night stands?
None.
24. What was your favourite TV program?
No favourites, but I did watch Queen's Gambit so that's a plus!
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.
26. What was the best book you read?
I finished only one book this year. :(
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Relistening to the Evangelion Rebuild OSTs.
28. What did you want and get?
Finishing a novel, submitting something to the Commonwealth Short Story Contest.
29. What did you want and not get?
Well, travelling's pretty high up there...

Tenet.
31. What did you do on your birthday?
Had a haircut, had dinner with UltraM and Dan and talked shop (FFXIV).
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I guess all things considered, it was satisfying in its own way.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2019?
I made do.

Final Fantasy XIV.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Not since Yuzuru, no.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Malaysian current affairs just taught me to tune out.
37. Who did you miss?
Nobody. I felt bad for that, especially since I didn't meet many to begin with.

...All the people I started RPing with in FFXIV will be counted as a single entity.
