It's that time of the year again!
1. What did you do in 2018 that you'd never done before?
Organise a funeral.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
No, but I sorta resolved to write more this year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
People around me gave birth, but nobody I was really close to...?
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yeah, I guess my mum counts.
5. What countries did you visit?
Japan (again!) and Australia. Sydney was surprisingly pleasant.
6. What would you like to have in 2019 that you lacked in 2018?
Still cuddles.
7. What date from 2018 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
26th August 2018, the date mum died.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Going for the Xenogears concert, and basically having my first solo trip to Tokyo. OH and maybe the ISO audit at work. It was the first time I was tasked with prepping the documentation.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not hitting enough submission deadlines. 3 is way, way, way too low.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I fell and hurt my knee. After a year of ignoring it it seems to have improved...? OH and my epic corn on my left foot.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A whole bunch of stylus pens. XD
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
The citizens of Malaysia who finally had the balls to vote out the incumbent party.
13. Whose behaviour appalled you?
The citizens of Malaysia who actually thought voting out the incumbent party meant change would happen IMMEDIATELY.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Random little things. Travel, stylus pens, a few clothes from Japan.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The thought of cosplaying from FFXIV Stormblood, but that didn't happen, so I can get excited about it again this year.
16. What song will always remind you of 2018?
I didn't listen to much contemporary music, so...random Kpop?
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Neither
ii. thinner or fatter? I think thinner.
iii. richer or poorer? I never bother finding out.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Writing.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
I'd like to say playing FFXIV, but to be honest those were the funnest hours of my life.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
It was the first time my aunts didn't invite me to their houses for Christmas. So I watched 2 movies.
21. Where did you ring in 2019?
Aoshi's new condo, where we saw fireworks celebrations at FIFTEEN different spots. Clearly the industry makes a killing.
22. Did you fall in love in 2018?
I got someone to hate me in 2018!
23. How many one-night stands?
None.
24. What was your favourite TV program?
Miss Sherlock was actually pretty entertaining.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I wouldn't say hate per se. I just went "fuck it" and blocked him. But it's not who you think.

I ONLY READ TWO BOOKS HOLY SHI-
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
....Nothing.
28. What did you want and get?
I wanted my parents to stop suffering. It was granted, in a way...
29. What did you want and not get?
To pursue my Masters.
30. What was your favourite film of this year?
There were four:
1. Teen Titans Go! To The Movies - for the comedy.
2. Bohemian Rhapsody - For Rami Malek's acting.
3. Fantastic Beasts 2 - For the art direction.
4. Spiderman Into The Spiderverse - For the art style and writing.
31. What did you do on your birthday?
I ate nice dinner at Bukit Bintang with Denise, Esther, Yuhi, and Sring, and had nice cheesecake!
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
People who could tell me I mattered to them.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2017?
I was too lazy and guilty to buy clothes.
34. What kept you sane?
Final Fantasy XIV.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
None.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Everything that happened in Malaysia post election, including the conservative racists who spilled out of the woodwork like termites.
37. Who did you miss?
The way things were.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Granted I met my FFXIV FC in 2017, but I got to chat with them more this time around.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2017.
Knowing life is unpredictable cannot prepare for when unpredictability actually hits.
