Yeah, I used to do AFF all the time, but it would always go down and the stories would be messed up when the site finally came around.
Do you have a back up journal somewhere? I want to keep you friended, because I think IJ might be good for me.

Yeah, it shucks. It used to be a really cool site, but then it would go down all of the time and now they've got the site all chopped up into pieces. Not to mention the fact that you have to sign an age statement every time you visit.

Yeah. So much for the cool. I'm guessing that LJ is fast headed the same way.
See, I had the GJ first and never used it. It just sat there as a space saver in case I happened to be online when LJ went down for an extended period of time. Then all of this shit happened and I was trying to decided which way I was headed. After I read all of the posts about GJ deleting people left and right, I gave them up as a bad job all around, especially since one of their biggest draws is now gone. We can only have 100 icons, instead of the original 2000. Guh.

But of course. That sort of thing always changes what's wonderful about a site, band, etc. The unique flavor becomes land because everyone, especially the new payin' folk (corporations, advertisers, and the like), want to change everything about their new acquistions to make them more "marketable." Pfft.
I guess, but to go from 2000 to 100 like that sucks. I was going to try my darnedest. = D Yeah, you really shouldn't waste your time switching over. I still keep my backup journal there, but that's about it.

Not enough people have switch over there full time. I'm pretty much over there, but I have to come back for my fandoms that won't be switching over. : (
