Hmm. it's been a week huh...
Worked all week. Got most of the water in the park turned on . No leaks :)
Went to Seattle on Sunday for the skibuddies ( http://www.skibuddies.org ) dinner.
Had a good time. Dinner was at Julia's on Broadway. Food was ok, service was very slow.
Wandered around the Broadway area.. hasn't changed much since I was there last.
I booked a hotel through Priceline.com.... offered $63.00 for a 3 star hotel downtown.
Got booked into the Vance. It was OK.
Parking is $18.00 per day.
Wireless Internet Access is 10.95 per 24 hour period...
So by the time you add in what Priceline charged and taxes, parking and Internet access, the total came to 104.00
Small rooms and I got awakened at 5:30 by the two women in the next room chatting.. 'course I probably kept them awake all night snoring.....
I usually stay at the Comfort Suites at the Seattle Center. Rooms there are usually about $60.00, and free parking and internet access. But they wanted 89.00 for the rooms this weekend (NCAA basketball weekend) so thought I'd try the Priceline deal.
Not too bad, but if I do it again, I'll bid lower.
Back in December when I went to the Dr, he wanted me to come back and have some blood drawn, cholesterol, etc.... suggested I do the 12 hour fast thing and come in the morning and have the testing done, that way I wouldn't have to get stuck twice...
Took me until today to finally get it all together.. remember to do the fast thing... and get in there in time.
Then the gal and the clinic couldn't find a vein, so sent me over to the lab where they found it in nothing flat... now just gotta wait for results.. hope things aren't too bad....
Found out this morning that I've got a meeting in Mt. Vernon on Thursday... nothing like giving you some notice... so I'm leaving tomorrow... wish it wasn't just a 4 hour meeting.
I don't like meetings this time of the year with lots of things to do in the park... it's a great time to spray weeds.... the park is closed, so there's nobody around and the wind usually cooperates :)
and the sun's out.... in fact it was 67 out today.
