(no subject)
Well it's been another 6 weeks...
All the firefighters have left the area.
They turned what areas of the park they were using back over to me on Aubust 30th... and they moved everyone to the fire camp. They vacated all of that on the 8th and now are just monitoring things with a crew out of Chelan.
Labor Day weekend came and went. Very uneventful except for the septic tank problem I had twice... finally got it solved on Sunday afternoon....
The electrical line to my well pump at the house quit on the 29th of August... so I've been reversed plumbed into the creek irrigation system since then... not using the water for drinking, but it's fine for showers, toilets, washer and dishwashing... Rented a trencher on the 11th and trench a 500' section to replace part of the electrical line... Worked on Monday laying conduit and pulling wire.
Today I had a first aid/CPR/AED class...
and i was supposed to be off the past two days....
Rumor has it the new wire solved the problem, so now I need to drain the resevoir and chlorinate everything and then start up the well pump.... chlorinate some more and then do a water sample.
Things are very quiet at the park. Last weekend I had 10 campers total on Saturday night... and I'm averaging between 4 and 6 during the week.
The weather has been unseasonably cool. Today it only got to 69.
The parks dept. is having an eastern region workshop in October..
They were looking for volunteers to teach a class, so I mentioned that I could probably teach a geocaching class if anyone was interested....lol.. well I now have 16 people signed up for it... guess I need to find a few more GPS units... (2 or 3 would do just fine)..
October 10th is now only 3.5 weeks away... :) and then I can take a bit of time off.....
