Over the River and through the Woods
Yes as
mam_adar puts it, its time for the obligatory Thanksgiving post. And, we will cross a few rivers and a few forests along the way to a town a little north of the Steel City. My mom is in her mid-80's and has the T-day cooking already organized, including judicious shopping at three different stores. We will use my grandmothers turkey roaster, source of decades of Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts. We'll bring the wine and some spices and nuts that will flow into this year's Christmas cookies (distributed to her massive and amazingly effective support group of neighbors and church ladies). Will be back by Sunday or so.
