Limits and boundaries
Having a discussion with someone on my flist in person leads me to clarify what I'm doing and why I'm doing it.
First, I do not claim to be an general purpose healer. That may come with work and time. For the most part, if I say I'm going to send healing wishes, its just that - focused good will. It could be as simple as signing iphin, ngetal, fearn or lus in the air while walking.
I say "for the most part" because there are some recent situations that Brighid has marked with the equivalent of flashing lights and sirens. In those, I've begun working formal rituals using Earth energy intuitively. I've asked about applying these techniques more generally and have been told no in fairly clear terms.
Working in that creative space seems holy to me. The process of becoming an energy conduit also opens hearts. This type of healing work cannot be proven to heal others, but definitely heals me. I see it as bringing Green into this world, even if I'm the only one being greened.
