Johnny Damon
Johnny Damon gets yet another hit in the head. Yet, he says to the Boston Herald,
"When Lugo hit me, my neck cracked about 10 times.It was a little whiplash action. The only reason Tito took me out was because of the concussion but it's only a little stiffness."
The guy is a freaking rock. I've been dissing him lately because his outfielding skills have gone to shot. However, if anyone can handle being smacked around its Johnny Damon. I mean I've seen a few guys come into to work with head injuries and it usually messes them all up for weeks,months, years. Now, I haven't checked Damon out...but, the guy is just fine with thinking it was whiplash and getting in there and playing. If only everyone could have this mentality, I don't think I'd ever treat patients. The best part about all of this is Damon has no 'poor me' attitude...I love it.
Unlike Nomar. I think I have some problems with this guy. For real, every time he comes on sportscenter or does one of those STUPID dunkin donuts commerical, where he really never donates anyways, I get a little hardened heart. I just think that there are so many players on the Red Sox that carry the 'We believe' dream with them and those guys deserve the contracts. I know, put up numbers. But, seriously...I wanna see the Red Sox win as a team unit...it would make the victory that much sweetier. ANNNNND, angry bill would fall off his recliner, which I'd pay to see. I've even heard him voice some anti-Nomar setiments recently. I say, HOOOOLLLAAA.
