When I did the update the other day I forgot to tell you about all the other things we did while in Long Beach.
Sunday Bob and I went to the Cranberry Museum and experimental gardens. We found it to be quite interesting since we live fairly close to a few bogs in our area as well. There is an Ocean Spray Plant on Grays Harbor. I bet most of you thought cranberries only grow in Maine or Mass (yes, I can't remember how to spell it). I thought the same thing until we moved to the area.
After the museum we went to a little drive in restaurant (not like the old drive-ins when we were young) for lunch. Bob had a Cajun burger and I had fish and chips. We had been to this place before so we knew the food was good before we went. We have not tried the 5 pound burger and we do not plan to. Just think of the size of that puppy.
Sunday evening the four couples that stayed an extra night drove down to Astoria, OR to the Fort George Pub. Linda’s brother did all of the neon work for this pub and it is really unique. I just was not able to get good pictures of the signs. The food was good especially for pub food and the company was very good. We always enjoy ourselves with our friends.
See photos at; http://picasaweb.google.com/dmcowens You will also see a photo of a model T and a vintage trailer. Everybody thought it was really neat.
