Dante's not human; half-human isn't the same thing, not really. Nero knows this, but it can still blindside him sometimes, the way Dante gets in a fight, after a fight, the way he sometimes looks like he's not real, like a prince out of a fairytale who might disappear if he's not careful. It's stupid and girly, since Dante's the most down-to-earth guy Nero's ever met, and when he's inhaling pizza out of the box with his boots up on his desk, it's the farthest things from Nero's mind.

But then there's times like this, when Dante's sheened with sweat, his eyes glowing, and the sheer power rolling off him when he loses control and just fucks Nero half-mindless, slamming him into the headboard until the wood cracks, and he looks gorgeous and untouchable and barely real, and Nero has to drag him down by his hair and sink his teeth into that smooth perfect throat hard enough to draw blood, and he grins with his red-stained mouth as Dante snarls, coming hard and fast.

He shoves Dante over, settles on top of him as Dante wraps a hand around his cock, stroking roughly and running his thumb over the head, just the way Nero like it, and he's not going to last, especially when he bites down hard on the side of Dante's throat, high up just under his jaw, and he crashes over the edge listening to Dante rasping out curses against his ear.

"Ow, you little vampire," Dante mumbles at him afterwards, while Nero's licking red smears off his throat, but it's not really a complaint.

"Ah, shut up, you know you like it," he mutters back, sitting up to look at him. And yeah, that's better: his hair's sticking up all over, he's splattered with Nero's come, and he looks like he's been mauled. The bites will have faded by morning, and the rest's nothing a shower won't fix, but right now he doesn't look otherworldly at all, he looks owned, Nero's, like something he could keep.
