Oh and another thing that has really annoyed me about this election is the "democrats and the 'liberals' in congress" comments I've been hearing in the broadcast media even for local candidates. ta AHHHHH.
So I'm back in the library after a nice lunch with Amanda. My PHL quiz was cancelled because of the election. Nice to know the day of, especially after waking my ass up at 6:30 this morning just so I wouldn't miss it this afternoon. Bastard.
This passed weekend was pretty fun. Josh and I went home on Wed night to stay with his mom for a few nights. On thursday Josh, Nikki, my sis and I went to the Red Dog in milford where they were having a costume party type thing. Unfortunately there were no drink specials (as if there ever are down home), and the bar was so crowded we couldn't move (thanks to a giant costume of Sponge Bob) so we decided to get out of there and go to B dubs. B dubs was dead and there were no drink specials there either, but we stayed and had a few drinks and some wings. Nikki had cheese fries, per usual. (oh how I never thought I'd say I love the bars here at school)
So friday, Josh had to come back up to school to work so I went to my moms, now officially my sisters house and helped her clean up a bit.
Chris and Amanda got engaged Nikki, Jen, Ara, Robin and I met them up at CJ's Brewery for their 'engagement' party and Amanda's 21st b-day (too damn young!) (a glass of beer was 4$)
After we ate, and Nikki chewed the cheese of the paper that was beneath her cheese fries, and had a few drinks we decided it wasn't very jumpin' in their so we left fot the Elephant Bar. (this is the best place to go for people watching. There are so many dirties/townies there it's not even funny!) We sat in the corner and people watched for a while and then decided to head out to Prono's in Ferndale.
So it winds up just being Ara, Jen and I at Pronto's, where we sat in the lounge and had some drinks and smokey treats, while watching crazy 80's videos on the plasma screens. (beer here was 4.75$ if I remember correctly) We stayed until close to 2 and then headed home.
When we got off at the Wixom exit, we decided to hit up the 24 hour McD's. This is the McDonalds where "Claudia" works. Picture me saying "Claudia" with a deep gay lispy voice because this is what she sounds like. She has a beard, and is downright growse. SO Ara pulls up to the screen to order and the second words start coming out of her mouth, we all cry out laughing. We laughed so hard I peed a little. lol.
then we went home
Saturday was the most interesting day. It was Ara's birthday so we all got dressed up and went out to this new very swanky, very upscale retaurant in Dearborn called Crave. (OH MY GOD THE PERSON BEHIND ME IN THE LIBRARY JUST FARTED SO LOUD AND I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING...[did he think he'd get away with it in a place this quiet]!!!!!! NO JOKE!!!) anyways, this restaurant was rediculous. They braught out hot towels for us to wipe our hands with before our meal, their were a billion plasma screen tv's with a fireplace going on them, a giant fish tank filled with jelly fish and lots more cool stuff. I was in my element. It was so nice, but still, rediculous! (my martini was 10$, and it wasn't half as good as the one I had at PF Changs for 7$)
so after we left the restaurant, we went to Q where, after a few minutes the girls left to go across the street to the 'straight' bar, Kirk and Susan went and sat down, and Ara and Austin kept making out, I was left to dance and be "that guy" at the bar. I didn't mind to much though, it was still a fun time.
then we went to Como's for pizza and thats where I'm going to finish. this is getting far to long and no one really cares.
I think I found D.D. though!!!
hope everyone else had a good halloween weekend!
