tell me you are excited...tell me that you almost peed your pants when you realized that I just updated my almost NON-EXISTANT livejournal....that would make my day :)
So, I can't remember the last time you might have heard from me, so I will attempt to cover all important aspects of my life. Feel free to bail now, I completely understand.
So, I am still working for CARE as a Public Information Specialist. The job is good, except I am not that busy. I suppose I could attempt to find more work for myself, but why. I just sit in my office and tool around on the internet, popping out every so often to show that I am in deed "working." I enjoy going out and giving presentations, because at least that breaks apart my day, otherwise i just sit here and listen to the tunes of 89x. Right now I am jammin to Incubus. nice.
I went to New Orleans over Christmas! That was a great time. I went with the fam, so I spent a week with my mom, dad and sister. You might be asking how I survived, but truthfully all was good. We got along quite well, and there was no fights! However, that doesnt mean that our trip went off without a hitch. It all started when we said " oh, christmas day...noone will be flying that day, so it should be fine." While there were less people flying, there were also less people working. Because of this, we were without our luggage for 2 full days, and my dad was missing his for the whole week. also nice. But, we survived in true "Frey" fashion, we just bought more stuff. Among a bunch of other little things, we had some issues with a certain friend who was also joining us for the week. When my family decided to do this trip, I told a few friends that I worked with what we were doing. They decided to go as well, and stay in a separate room. BAD IDEA. It went sour from the moment the trip was booked because one of these people was an overbearing, psyco, know-it-all, princess, only child, bitch. Lucky for me, I was with my family, and didn't have to deal with it. However, I feel horrible for Christyn and Matt who spent the week avoiding the monster from the black lagoon. The worst part for me was that I felt really bad during the entire trip because this person spent the entire break by herself, literally. Ate alone, toured alone, walked alone, and even drank alone. So I specifically tried to hang out with her, in an attempt to make sure her trip was not horrible. The problem was that once I came home, I found out that she was HAPPY that me and my family lost our luggage, because she was mad at me. She said "I am a very vindictive person, I like when people get what they deserve" WTF! What did I ever do to her! THe only POSSIBLE explanation, I could have for her horrible behavior is the fact that I actually have good friends to hang out with, and she can't handle having friends because they don't revolve their life around her! UGH! So, needless to say, I will no longer be hanging out with princess. she can find a new pal to deal with her shit.
Other than that, New Orleans was amazing! Great Food, Amazing Music, Outstanding Sites to see and yes, more liquor than the rest of the united states combined. and believe me, I drank my fair share.
What's next you ask. Well, I am now back to work. Yuck. (Hence the horrible Long post). I have really added to my extra curricular activities because I get so bored at home. I am now a member of the United Methodist Church Bell Choir. I also took on a few piano students, so they come on Tuesday and Wednesday Evenings. Lastly, I will be teaching an anger management class starting Thursday in a few weeks. So, yes, I am busy. But that is good. Otherwise I might go crazy!
Exciting news: Me, Joe, Luke and Christine have just planned a trip to Paris! We booked it this morning, and I am super excited! We will be leaving here on March 24( the day before good friday) and returning home April 2 after spending 8 wonderful days exploring all that Paris has to offer! It will cost a pretty penny, but it's worth it! I found my passport last night, and I have some of the money saved up, so I am all set! I just need to start learning how to ask for the bathroom and where the local bar is. :) So if anyone wants to support the "send alena to Paris" fund, please feel free to paypal me some money at Firedancer739@yahoo.com. I promise to bring you a souvenir!
