I haven't fallen off the face of the earth!
So my computer has been at CompUSA for like a month now, the bastards. The only reason I am online now is because Sarah moved in and is the best roomie ever and lets me go online on her computer all the time so now I'm not going through withdrawl anymore. Anyways, finished the internship, moved into Ignacio, somehow managed to survive my last band camp EVER (with some great girls) and got closer to a bunch of bandos, and yesterday I started my semester at the Franklin School. The past 2 days have been busy and the kids aren't even there yet. Between prepping and setting up my classroom and following my crazy teacher around the building, I'm already tired. I've been awake since 6:30 this morning! Tomorrow my kids come so I'll finally get to meet my entire class. It is exciting and I am ready even though I know school will be twice as exhausting with 20 ten year olds running around. I've been really negative about my prac lately because I keep saying I don't want to teach and am wasting my time, but today I was thinking about why I wanted to have 5th grade so badly and the teachers I had that I would like to emulate if I do decide to becoem an educator, and I was like, "This could actually be fun if you stay in the right mindset." I mean, I know it sucks that I am working and not getting paid for any of it and will probably be my teacher's slave and I'll come home with my fair share of headaches and stress, but what I am doing is really cool and different and fun. Go teaching! Anyways, sorry for such a short update but I am tired and have homework to do for my seminar tomorrow, so hopefully the next time I update it will be on my OWN computer!
