"HEZ: USA NEXT" blares the headline of the Daily News this morning. Hundreds more Lebanese and Palestinians are killed. Israel refuses to stop, and the US refuses to restrain them. North Korea is led by a complete madman brandishing nuclear weapons. Marines are still mucking about Iraq killing people, and the interim Iraqi government is doing fuckall.
So what now? Where does this go? Where do we go? If it wasn't Israel/North Korea/Iraq, it'd be something/place else. As threats from everywhere grow and take shape, I try to sleep at night and recall the silent memory of Tower 1 collapsing in front of my eyes (not on television, in front of my eyes) and wonder what could possibly be next. Its like trying to plug up the Hoover Dam with a wine cork. Indifference breeds violence, violence begets more violence, and its seemingly unstoppable.
I'm moving to New Zealand. No one ever bothers the Kiwis.
