I tend to read books in one sitting, preferably many books. It's a habit left over from childhood. I'm not sure if it is the repeating of this long-neglected habit (translated over to the slightly less enjoyable task of studying) as applied to actual leisure reading (I took the liberty to pick up some today) or the actual content of the book itself (Small Gods, by Terry Pratchett) that led me to this...the only word to describe it is serenity. A peace that does not require elaboration by words, and is an element I have worn about me like a cloak in miscellaneous pockets of time in my life. I wonder how soon it shall pass. Meanwhile, I do the things I want, no matter how simple, and relish quietly in them.
