Prom was awesome this year. Watching Emily perform in the wedding... radiant like the Star of Bethlehem. Everyone rose for the ceremony. Pictures at creative places. Roses in her hair. Dinner at Olive Garden with zero wait at 7:00... can't beat that. Courtesy of Jason McVicker and Meghan Beam, such a nice couple. Dancing to great songs, and... interesting songs alike. Cheeks rosy in the heat. Coaxing the wallflowers to get on the dance floor. The slow dances left me Amazed. Such a great song. Feeling so alive. My rose pricked twice. 11:00 came too fast. Lucked out with parents, for once. Waiting for David. I rose to the occasion.
So many "rose"s, yet not even close to what you deserve.
