I don't know why, but somehow I am assuming you are Asian! But if you eat a lot of rice everyday, I find that cutting down on rice works!!!
Also I got a pedometer and play this game on the ds called 'My Health Coach' which I really like. If I find I haven't done enough steps during the day, I always march on the spot to get the number up. I actually think it's working for me! It's the first exercise thing I've stuck to!
I don't think you need to cut yourself off completely, just don't eat as much or something. Like once a week or something. *nods* I would definitely walk more if you want to get into shape because walking is really good for you~ Ha, I have so many books on nutrition and I'm talking a class in it. =P Eat more veggies.
Ooh, yeah, and don't eat/drink anything with high-fructose corn syrup (isoglucose). Someone I know cut that out of their diet and their weight plummeted. (And it's so so so bad for you)
Hmmm.. doctors say that after 6pm your body doesn't process the food you eat. So if you eat your dinner before 6pm then you can lose weight. And also try to move as much as you can. I don't know any good diets. I lost like 7 kilos by not eating after 6pm and by homebiking (i don't know what's the name of that). XD and also, when you eat.. when you feel like your eyes are the ones that eating (I mean that you're not actually hungry anymore) then stop eating. And I also hear people should eat 5 times a day and always only a little. and that breakfast is important. ^^ lol, well hope you find some of these useful. xD
I'm gonna try to eat dinner now before 6pm. Cause usually we eat dinner around 7pm. You know what...you're right. There are times that I'm not really hungry but if I've seen a food that looks really delicious... I can already forgot that I'm want to go on diet. That's why I need to control any food temptations..hahaha! Thanks a lot for the advice...really appreciate it..^__^

If you're not overweight and just want to get in shape, you don't have to do major changes. Just try to eat less (like I for example don't eat after 7 P.M) and SPORT SPORT SPORT! :)
