Via whitemunin...

This is pretty much the story of my life.One day, I'll get the shopping done and a proper dinner made, followed by tidying up and writing. And then two days later when I'm overwhelmed by my own meager accomplishments, I'll be eating a stale tortilla wrapped around a hotdog and clicking through dozens of peopleofwalmart.com postings. Well, I can't say I am procrastinating on Laby fiction 'cos I can't write! *sigh* (I have ideas but can't get them on paper - they all come out flat and silly).

But, I have an 1869 Victorian Red Velvet Dress to make before the 17th December, plus two draft assignments, lesson plans galore on Powerpoint, Excel and whatever else is dumped on my lap, a Seminar for two weeks time and just trying to keep the house running.

Oh, and a set of 1869 costume notes for participants all wanting to know how to make costumes!

*sigh*.

What have I been doing??

Looking at LJ! Looking at medieval images and fabric ideas for a new Medieval Queen Gown which is not required till next JUNE when I come out to the USA again! ;-)

So, feel better. And just remember that your mind is probably churning over the ideas on its own. Certainly ideas for my lesson plans usually appear around 3am when I am asleep.

Well, you are one up on me - I didn't even sign up for the winterfest challenge, that's how procrastinating I am!
Nah, it's a good thing I didn't - I have been swamped by real life (oh my god) lately. Just feeding the Boogie and getting him into bed at a reasonable time is beyond me, let alone feeding myself!

A small child is a job and a half already! I don't think I could manage anything (including personal hygiene) if I had a baby. Most days I'm lucky just to feed myself.

Hell, I'm orchestrating the damn thing and I've still barely started. I know where I want to go, but I haven't decided whether to fly, drive or take the bus :p

Ahaha, this definitely makes me feel better, then. I'm sort of in the same boat-- vague outlines of an idea, but not sure how to get it started. Or where it will go, for that matter. I'll sure as hell have to figure it out soon, though.

I have my fic written but I hate it a little... I am just waiting to hear back from my beta to see if there is any hope at all for it. ^.^;;

I feel there is much left to do. Should be interesting to hear what she's got to say about it.

I'm usually very unsure about something until it sits for a while and I can step back and take a fresh look at it. And of course, another pair of eyes helps a lot, too. Good luck with the beta!
