VISUAL:
SHOU: Ok, the hoodie under jacket thing is really working for Shou. He had the same layering going on in Rainbows. I really like the plaid jacket...I want it...and the yellow hoodie...i always want Shou's clothes (or I just want a boy who wears Shou's clothes...or I want Shou...) just kidding just kidding. But I do really like Shou's style. He looks good in skinny jeans too (cause he too is skinny, lol). I love Shou with that hair color--the caramely brown/blonde. Its such a warm color. That hair style seems softer, no thats not the right word. Um, I don't know how to describe it, it is just more relaxed I guess, more towards natural, lol. It looks good though. But then again, Shou's hair always looks good. Eyeshadow >.< I love it. Its so pretty...Shou is pretty...I'M JEALOUS! But I really like how one eyelid is pink and the other is yellow. And its really soft. It works. Jewelry. I've been trying to a get a good clear glimpse of his rings, bracelet, and necklace, but I can't. All I can say is that it looks good. Haha!
TORA: He is sporting the dark look again...thats Tora though, haha. I like the jacket on him. And I also really like how his guitar isa creamy white. Its a nice balance against all his dark clothes. Ok, is it just me, or does Tora's hair look incredibly soft in this pv?? It looks silky, I want to touch it. He also has that wave going on in the back. I like it. And of course, its really dark, which looks perfect on Tora! Ah, and I love when I can glimpse his piercing. I feel as if it is so subtle. Its easy to miss, especially in PVs since the camera moves lot, but you can still see it!
HIROTO: Ok, I have to say first that I really like Hiroto with this hair color. I think its a nice chocolaty brown...dark chocolate, which is the best! hehehehe! And once again, its a very relaxed hair style. Are we starting to see a trend within alice nine.? I think Hiroto's outfit is cute. I love how we go from pretty open shirt in Rainbows to closed up and tied in Gekkou Yoku. Makes me snicker. I dig the leopard print vest. And I'm thinking that that shade of red looks really nice on him. Good choice! And, well, you can't go wrong with black pants. Yay Hiroto! Oh! And I love his guitar! Orangeness! Yay ^_^
SAGA: Oh Saga....you're just always looking good. On Saga, we see another nice rich brown hair color with a nice, shaggy, relaxed hair style. A trend indeed. I like this Saga look. It fits him really well. The outfit too. Black skinny pants (and damn skinny legs) and brown shirt, unbuttoned to the halfway-ish point. And yay man accessories! Rings, bracelets, necklace! YES! And I have to say, watch closely around 0:45...Saga is kind of built, haha! I really love the, what I think is leather, cuff on his left wrist.
NAO: Nao looks so cute! Again, we see dark hair, but he still has some of his signature blond front. And again, another relaxed hair style. I love his shirt and polka dot bow-tie-is thing. Notice the little dude on his shirt! So cute. I was actually watching an interview and they were all wearing these outfits, and Shou mentioned the guy on Nao's shirt and was like "zoom zooom zoom" telling the camera guy to zoom in on it. Haha, so funny! Getting back on track, can't go wrong with a pair of jeans. Oh, Nao also has some sweet shoes on, but you can't really see them. I only noticed them because of that interview.
So visual style is looking good by me, but I start to wonder about alice nine. They used to wear much more visual kei-ish outifts in their PVs. Now they seem to be doing more toned down looks, leaning more towards street fashion. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I miss their old style too. Remember those days with crazy contacts, exposed thighs and bellies, and unique, intricate costumes? I wouldn't mind seeing alice nine do that every now and then.
Wow, sorry that was so long and I haven't even gotten to the actual PV yet...
VIDEO:
The pv is pretty simple, but I think it has some really pretty moments and some really cool ones. The beginning I think is pretty. The sky/clouds are calming. And I really enjoy how we are focused on the instruments, the music. I feel like that is a big part of this PV. There is a lot of focus on the music. We don't see the heads of the musicians a lot, just their hands performing their skill. And then of course, a little after 1:20 the moon descends on the shot of the whole band playing, which makes sense since, translated the song is called Moonlight Bath.
2:52, the cool thing starts. It makes me think of that art thing you do when your little. You know, when you put some paint on a piece of paper and then fold it in half and then open it again...remember those? Yeah, I wish when I opened that paper, I ended up with some amazing jrockers. I also like the music at this point, the guitar sounds cool.
A few things to keep an eye out for: 1.) During Nao's playing look for him mouthing the drum sounds, kawaii >.< 2.) Hiroto's head bangs and leg lift/kick things, he is too cool cute. 3.) Um...Saga hotness? His built chest? You choose. 4.) Tora coolness, not that you really have to keep an eye out, its always there. 5.) Shou's high notes. In the opening, he is kind of humming/singing. He hits some pretty notes. I am always so impressed with his voice. 5.) group jump ^_^ around 3:30 I think.
So overall I liked it. I think I would have liked it more if I hadn't seen Rainbows first. Rainbows kind of stole the glory, haha. But Gekkou Yoku is still good. I do really like the song too. Which I would have talked about the song more, but this was more for the PV. We all now how great alice nine. is and how amazing they are at what they do. It doesn't need to be stated by me.
Happy Birthday (crap now its not the 5th anymore, I took too long -_-) to Shou and Kanon!
