Odd news item over on KryptonSite
KryptonSite announced that Millar and Gough are leaving Smallville.
I'm seriously not sure what to think. Usually, when the creators leave the show it's a bad sign. Look at what happened to The Gilmore Girls after the show's creator left. It tanked in the ratings and limped across the finish line for its last season.
Another example is when that Caveman show was having severe script problems after it had been picked up, the exec producers left and the Pilot was reshot and it still sucked. That show lasted maybe three episodes after that .
Although I'm faiirly happy with Smallville, Tom is always wonderful and they do have some beautiful moments, I have had some issues with the show lately (to put it mildly).
The Stride Gum episode was a horrendously bad idea, for example, but I know that some other plot points from the last few years haven't sat well with fans...
