Lara 7.06...

I never post about the show, but tonight's was so wonderful!

Canon Clex is always a plus in my book and Lex having a snit over how much attention his father pays to his "other" son and Lionel accusing Lex of still being fascinated by Clark!

*sigh*

Not a perfect show, but mostly it was wonderful!

Yeah, that was definitely Lex finally speaking his mind about the 'special boy' Lionel thinks Clark is. I have been waiting for something like this since that episode in season 5.

I think the only thing I would have liked better was if Clark had been the labrat, but I guess Kara was close enough...

I think Laura's acting has improved, actually. I bet Tom has shown her a thing or two!

Acting has definitely improved. I was worried in the beginning of this season. It must have been hard starting with a group that is so acclimated already to each others styles. I've got to give her props.

I am certain Tom helped her with the super power faces and movements, they look so similar.

Yeeah, she's definitely getting better and I have to think that Tom helped her with how to deal with Kryptonite poisoning...

It was very similar to how he does it, which makes sense. It should be similar.

I love that scene between Lex and Lionel! Jealousy there, and Lionel doesn't help with his constant denigration of his own son.

But Lex still is fascinated by Clark! ;)

Yeah, that was a wonderful scene... I watched the show twice last night and I hardly ever do that.

I'm confused why more people didn't like it....

*shrug*

Oh, well. I loved it. I thought the scenes with Kara and Clark were all terrific and the Clex we got was some of the best we've had all season.

I thought it was a superior ep, myself and was interested there wasn't more squee this morning...

Maybe people were put-off by their respective dashes to the loo, to hurl at the Clionel awkward hug (I mean, MM already said that Lionel is 'chanelling' Jor-El, so um ew).

You know, that didn't bother me... I think it was more awkward on Clark's part, he still doesn't trust Lionel, but it shows how much Clark means to Lionel.

The jealous snit Lex had later also shows that Lex knows his dad has more affection for Clark than he does for Lex.

But they've been setting that up for a couple of years, ever since Mercy when Lionel covered for Clark's powers in front of Lex and he praised him the way he did.

I really liked the episode last night too. :) In fact, I think I was more entertained by this one the most so far, this season.

Which isn't to say that the whole flashback thing wasn't terribly cheesey and badly performed. Because it kind of was.

But I do love Lionel totally calling Lex on using female surrogates for his Clark obsession. Lionel FTW! And I did love Lex calling Lionel on devotion to the wrong "son".

And I seem to be a minority in this, but I liked the fact that Clark was slick enough, and smart enough, to snatch the crystal without anyone else knowing. Yeah, it was sneaky, but when you aren't sure who to trust, isn't it best to keep things close to the cuff?

I liked this a lot, I'm not sure it was the best one so far but it was highly entertaining...

The flashbacks were a bit cheesy but answered a lot of questions.

I liked that Clark took the crystal, it showed he can play hard ball when needed, but why I guess it the question.

It's a dangerous weapon of some sort, going from what MM said...

*shrug*

I guess we'll see what happens.

Clark certainly learned from The Tri-Part Stones of Power from S4 that hesitation is for losers, when it comes to Kryptonian artifacts.

At least Lionel wasn't sailing through the air to fight him for it...

LOL! I'm not sure I could take a flying Lionel.

And True: Clark has learned a thing or two, it didn't hurt he was good looking last night too.

How does that man get ever more handsome each year? It just doesn't seem possible. If this keeps happening, he'll make women faint with just a glance by the time he's 40!
