A girl. Beyond the crowd. Waiting for a bus. She’s standing alone up the wall. She’s got something else on her mind. The thought that she’d rather feel a body pin her up against this very same wall. She turns her head. Did she notice something ? People are coming. Her eyes pause on a dark and vague male figure. Another girl stands by his side. The boy leans forward to her face…Then, cut. Someone got in front of the lonely girl’s vision. Fuck, she mutters silently. She moves her head from side to side, trying to catch an empty corner. I can see the crowd move as thousands of questions are running through her head.
She’s taken away as the bus finally comes near, and get in. She takes a seat right in front of the door on the other side of the alley. There stands the boy with the very same girl. She’s removing her hair in an annoying way, a fake smile on her face. The boy’s sketching a laugh and gets closer.
The bus leaves as they stay outside. She turns her head as fast as her hopes have now fallen. She grabs a pen and paper and writes. I can’t manage to read properly, her writing reflects confusion itself. The music’s loud. I can read through her eyes and fingers her try of control. “C’mon, you’re not gonna let this…it’s 4.15 pm, you’re on the road back home little girl, that’s the time you’ve always had a hope of seeing love drive in a car on the other side of the road.”
She looks away through the window. I am sure she’d seen something, because her eyes have suddenly opened wide, her face turning. I can see a red car myself fading away in this pale, early June scenery. The girl takes a deep breath and stares blankly at the seat in front of her.
And then she have turned her head and spoke those words to me : “Do you believe in fate ? 'Cause it has just tricked me very bad.”
