Normally my partly-Italian skin doesn't burn...or if it does then it's only because it's about 38c and I'm lounging on a sunny beach in la bella Italia. But no, today I sat outside [without moving, in the blazing midday sun which could explain a lot] and got absorbed into my history to the extent that I didn't realise 3-hours had already passed. By this point, I was pink and decided to apply suntan lotion....but it was too late!! My entire chest [minus a bikini mark], stomach, arms, shoulders and legs are now a lovely shade of near-fuschia and it stings like a bitch!
But enough of the complaining, it was nice and relaxing just lounging in the garden: my history notes made a load of sense [I can now explain to you about Kaiser William and the long- and short-term factors leading to World War One if you have a few hours to spare and are interested in 1914 European history *looks around* what a surprise, no-one's interested hehe]
P.S. I'm watching Almost Famous, only just flicked the TV on and it's over halfway through, but it has Jason Lee in it...he's the man!! :D
