I can't see enough of you
All summer long we've both been free
Won't be long until summer time is through
but not for us now
having a great couple of weeks.
It's all looking uphill actually. Every week i'm losing 2-5 pounds, I'm reconnecting with old friends, listening/playing some good tunes, and just enjoying life.
There's so many great things out there within human reach that don't require money. My cost of living is so ridiculously low right now and i'm having the time of my life, so what does that say?
I'm investing a lot less in the "genre" of Vera. I know it's a tired subject, but finally i'm on board with that sentiment. Let's just write music and if it's good it's good. Doesn't matter.
However, I'm so stoked about the band. Our recording is a little fucked up in that we aren't doing it, but I'm not sweating it. I don't want to put it off, but I think taking our time is fine. We're practicing on Saturday, i'm stoked. I want to perfect ...Said Goodbye, Hazel Park, Verona, and if possible a new intro to our set. Won't be hard to write, just spooky keyboard effects and stuff.
I had a great day today with Kat. We went to point no point beach, which is absolutely beautiful. It's incredible that I haven't been there since I was younger. I want to go again tomorrow. ha.
We play our first show in over a month this Saturday. I'm REALLY hoping to get some flyers printed out and taken down to the Manette....it all depends on the stamina on my computer. Hopefully I can get it done.
