He drank, shot up, and burnt out. All to forget. He always wanted to forget. The desire had overcome him when alive, attributing to his death, but had consumed him as a reaper.

There were few times in his after life that he was sober for longer than a week. It was just too much. The souls he’d taken may have moved on to their ( Read more... )

I think the only reason I felt he had an abusive childhood is because of the song. "the ghosts in the attic, they never quite leave"

I guess there's something about the fact that he's SO addicted to drugs, and that's how he died. Something had to trigger that. Either a bad childhood, peer pressure... something. I don't know. But he kinda gives the feeling of a kid who was beaten by a father who felt his son was too weak. to toughen him up. and it could explain his 'live in the moment' attitude. i love him as a character, because he doesn't even have a first name! I mean, we, as writers, can just completely make something up. It has to fit (obviously he's from England and grew up there, and he died in the 60's, so he would've been born shortly after WWII, so continuity yaye) and some things I just can't believe. I'm a picky reader.

And I need to write more to DUtG. I'm in a rut with it. Probably cause a Buffy plot has been picking at me, and I've been working on it. But with Dizzy, I'm posting it on ff-dot-net, and getting responses that aren't that great, and I get terribly discouraged. I don't want to just throw them together. That's not how it goes. But garh!

There should be more series fics. They satisfy me. YOU SHOULD WRITE ONE. :D
