Regardless of what term is used for the holiday, it's mostly regarded the same. Take the religion issue out of it and it's a ploy for companies to make extra money, a reason for communities to get along, and a way to show appreciation of your friends. I think it's just as well that everyone here seems to have decided on one collective word, two if you're counting Discomas.

It's a pointless thing to be so sore about.

I didn't say the exact same way, that'd be idiotic considering culture and individuality. However, you have to say the similarities outweigh the differences.Prior to coming here, even though varieties of Christmas existed in my own world, I didn't celebrate it.
