I worked from 11 AM to 7 PM last night, came home, went to bed, got up at 5 AM to go to a 6-8 AM staff meeting (oh joy!), and now I am at MBD's house getting ready to take the kids to school, after which point I will go back to work from 11A-11P. Then I will come home, go to bed, and arise to go back to work from 11-7.
Is this really what life is like for most Americans?
I feel indignant, overworked, put-upon, bored, tired, in constant pain, cranky, and underpaid.
I simply cannot believe that I toil away my livelihood for almost nothing and I cannot pay my bills. It's despicable. And even more frightfully deplorable is the fact that starting May 1st, I will no longer be able to smoke at or near my workplace. In fact, if I come to work *smelling* like smoke, I can be written up and/or sent home to change clothes. I can't even smoke in my own personal vehicle if I am parked anywhere on hospital property. No one who comes to visit the hospital can smoke anywhere on the grounds. I was sent a script to say to people whom I find infringing on this new policy.
Hmmm.
