Inspiration:
If you hear me giggling, know that most likely I've come upon yet another Double Rainbow reference.

HECK YES, PEOPLE! It's WEDNESDAY... thought today was Tuesday!
I cannot describe the satisfaction I just got from closing a spreadsheet about the wedding and having work to distract me.
How I'm doing/Main Topic: Working to Find Time for Vacation
I have about 5 days worth of vacation that I HAVE to take this year or lose it... that doesn't include the time I CAN store up... this is how stingy I've been this year with my vacation time. (Nodal project has been live since March, I've only taken a week in July for the Torres Reunion.) But, like Jaime, my company has frowned on taking vacation with these projects actively in development. My boss suggested I take near Thanksgiving and what I might do is book a flight to NM for that time and IF we're in dire straights (ha) to get the Nodal projects done, I may be able to work from home (read: parents or Jared's house) OR work from the Albuquerque office. My boss does have the ability to ask for a special case scenario that lets me carry over more unused PTO to next year than normal.
Flight prices for the days surrounding the holidays are already at $160/one way so I need to get it scheduled. Add to that, the fact that BJ is very unenthusiastic about the whole subject of not being home for the holidays. I figure, he can have one more year of not having to go as a couple to my parents for holidays... I think he would love going for Thanksgiving, but then, maybe not. The amount of people that we're watching the games with would be the decider on him opinion, I think.

Accomplishment:
Wish every day were like today... Mint shows every goal in "Green", budget okayish, and everything is really quiet at my desk.
Confessions:
If anything, the wedding planning has shown me how often I just give up or procrastinate on projects that are not for work. I have had the "Oh hell, just elope" feeling weekly and its a new feeling to not just stop there but instead trudge through that feeling to get to the other side where renewed motivation lies.
Thankful:
I am thankful for...
... that feeling when the email Inbox is at zero.
... knowing that right now, at this second, both projects are in great shape (knock on wood).
