I heart this icon so much... it's right after Beth suprises Mick with their first kiss... and then runs away! :-D So when you see it, picture that she has just run up, asked him why he left without saying goodbye and before he could answer, she kisses him... then runs away. Also remember he's a vampire-private-investigator from Australia and she's some little internet-reporter(was once a vampire herself) reporter from England. Ok, so some of that is really about the actor and not the character, but it's so much more fun blurring the lines. So he's caught off guard and surprised... but do you see his heart catch up with what just happened? *Squee*

How I'm doing/Main Topic: House Shopping
I THREATENED to talk about it yesterday but never got around to it. Since today has been relatively quiet, I'll try and post about so far. Well... I sincerely thought I'd go the way of
feliztheowl and find a great little townhouse or condo but the options in my price bracket in Addison were less than awesome...
Also after having George explain it twice, in order to justify $250 in HOA dues a month (the going rate in the area) the condo would have to be something like $40K less than any house I looked at. So we've begun concentrating more on single family houses in Addison, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch with small yards. He sent me a few in Frisco, but that is just way too far out... So... Carrollton and Addison - nothing really showed up for Farmers Branch. I gotta say that the Addison I wanted is not the Addison I'm getting. I'm getting Carrollton, basically. I don't know if just nothing is on the market, or if what is, is not meeting what I want, but everything I'm looking at or have looked at is near where the tollway and GB Turnpike meet.... Frankford and the tollway. So north. North and west of the Addison Airport. When we went house hunting for the first time last weekend, we were around Frankford and the tollway. There's a WalMart, a Kroger, an Albertsons and some small cute shopping centers. Lots of small parks. I NEVER thought I'd be north of Keller Springs Rd but it seems I might. The neighborhood that we looked at two houses in last week was pretty cute and the street was a larger one, but not huge. I'm doing really good overlooking wallpaper and paint, but when something is a little older, it really distracts me from the bones of the house. I need to work on that.
This weekend I hope to see lots more in Carrollton. I need to call the police departments there and get some crime statistics. All the houses I'm seeing are at least twenty years old, some will be even older than that. All of them have garages and most have wood fences. All have at least 3 bedrooms and at least 1400 sq ft. Everything about my choice needs to be about resale since I doubt that I'll be in this house for long. Doubt? I mean hope, lol. Hope that I'd have life changes that would let me move on to the next house with a man. I know this is my first house and I really don't expect to be in love with it. I don't even care if it's not perfect... I just want something that I can make small, valuable changes to during the course of living there that in the end pay for themselves.
We'll see :-)... I'm taking Annette with me this weekend since LAURIE IS TAKING JAIME (ha, jk... but yeah, maybe she'll focus me) and I'm going to tell her to force me to take pictures and measurements, etc... anything to really distinguish the houses so I can make a decision and get into one already :-).
