Tribune has a sense of humor! Who knew?

Ok, so I stole that headline from the Sun-Times, but it fits.

Welcome to the 21st century, where everything is up for sale, even your name.

I myself used to work at World Music Theatre -- which is no more.
Somehow, in the space of a single night, it was completely wiped off the map, and in its place an identical structure was erected, named the Tweeter Center.
That too has vanished, and no modern map-maker can plot its location.
Instead -- in the very same spot -- a third identical structure was discovered, called some-incredibly-over-syllabic-name-that-
no-one-uses-anyway-and-even-radio-dj's-and-Tickemaster-still-call-it-the-former-Tweeter-Center.

And now, the old rich white man (not at all a racist or agist comment, simply observation) that bought the Tribune corporation wants to do the same to Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs.
Well the Chicago Sun-Times decided to host a contest: entrants would make a music video regarding the proposed name change, and the winner would receive $1,000 in their "Zell No!" contest.

The winner: Katie Hamilton, an intern at the Chicago Tribune

Her video is on YouTube, set to the tune of Twisted Sister's We're Not Gonna Take It, and filmed mostly in front of the tourism icon.

It is freakin' hilarious!
As is the introduction added after she was announced the winner.

Please enjoy, and remember, when visiting the Chicago area, to stop by Sox Park and Cubs Field (since no true Chicagoan would be caught dead using the corporate bought renamings), maybe even take in a show at the Rosemont Horizon.
