the office upgrade... part 1

Demolished the paneling on the north wall of the office. Behind it is 1x2 furring strips on top of exterior stucco (the old porch). The wiring in this wall is a total mess, and I'm going to remove it all. then I'm going to run new conduit along the bottom of the wall, put an outlet box, and up near the door for a switch and into the attic to replace the lighting. I'll also continue the circuit around this wall to the west side and south into the library to replace those outlets.

Don't know how the previous owner put up with 30 years of 2 prong electrical, and outlets that are falling off the wall, and arc noticeably if you walk past the plug and look funny at them... but he did.

Gotta figure out a way to get ahold of several panels of 4x8 ft tileboard (aka whiteboard material). The north wall is going to be a massive whiteboard, and the west wall will probably be just drywall around the new windows.

Taking a break... gotta get something to drink. Thank god for A/C. Even without a heatwave, doing demolition is hot work.
