Taking a subway in Montreal this summer?
Well then you damned well better hold on tight to those handrails. A 38 year old mother of two was recently handcuffed, thrown into a holding cell, and fined a total of $420 by Montreal police. All for the heinous crime of riding an escalator in the subway without holding on to the handrail.
I suppose all in all, she should just be thankful they didn't taser her.
