Apologies. With chloeas.

Oliver had left Mia at her hotel room and headed directly toward Watchtower. Guilt was already tugging at him. Three of the four women in his life had been injured because of rotten choices he'd made years ago, and while he'd made amends with two of them, he still had one to go.

And it was the one confrontation he was dreading most.

Chloe had been expecting him to come by since Clark told her everything was under control, so when she heard the elevator and checked her security camera, she wasn't surprised to see Oliver standing in the elevator, his back hunched, his head down. She also wasn't surprised to see he felt guilty for what had happened.

He drew in a breath and let it out slowly as the elevator stopped and the doors slid open. He stepped into the main room, hands tucked into his pockets. "Hey." His voice was quiet.

She turned to face him and watched him for a moment, "you're sorry, you wish I hadn't been in danger, and you wish you had stopped him on time," she told him, standing straight, "you are forgiven and you got to him as fast as you could so you can stop kicking yourself now, you've been through enough today."

He blinked once, then again, staring at her silently. Then a faint smile tugged at his lips. Shaking his head, he moved over to her, his gaze resting on her bandaged arm. "How bad is it?"

His eyebrows furrowed a little at her words and he shook his head. "Your turn to apologize? For what?"

Chloe took a deep breath and shook her head a little as she pulled away from him, "for a second there, I thought... that it really was you."

He watched her for a moment, letting that sink in. "Can't say that I blame you." His voice was quiet and he shrugged a little. "He was dressed just like me and he managed to get past your security system."

Closing her eyes, she shook her head, "I should have known better, I know that you'd never hurt me, or Lois for that matter."

She met his eyes again, "I'm sorry."

She could tell him he moved exactly like Oliver, and stood exactly like him, but there were no excuses for her to have thought that. She had no reasons not to trust him one hundred percent and she was ashamed of herself.

He grinned at her, then sat down in one of the chairs. "Have you had dinner yet?" he asked.

She shook her head and watched him, "what do you wanna eat?"

"Doesn't matter to me," he said with a slight shrug.

"C'mon," she told him and sat down too, eyes on him, "you had a bad day, what is your comfort food?"

He blinked, leaning back in the chair, a surprised look on his face. "Oh. How'd he take it?" he asked uncertainly.

"Told me I should have told him so he could have helped you instead," she shook her head, "I just didn't know if that information could help us tracking you down and of course he reacted about as well as we expected."

Oliver sighed softly, catching the flicker of hurt in her eyes. "Chloe." He reached out and covered her hand with his.

"It's okay," she assured him but turned his hand in his and held it, "we both knew that was how he was going to react and at least there was no big screaming match involved."

Pursing her lips together, she shrugged softly, "there are just something we'll never agree on."

His smirk widened. "Because it's not exactly predictable for me to let someone I care about come along with me on dangerous adventures."

That made her pause and she watched him for a long moment then frowned, he made a good point.

"And if I hadn't demanded to come along?"

He just raised his eyebrows, grinning.

Chloe sighed and groaned, rubbing her face then giving him a look, "this isn't over, Queen."
