He made the drive from Luthor Corp. to Watchtower in five minutes flat. His heart was pounding quickly in his chest as he took the elevator up and then stepped off it, spotting Chloe right away, behind her computers.

"Have you talked to Clark?" he asked without hesitation, crossing the room toward her.

"He's stuck in a meeting at the Planet." She told him, frowning hard as she watched him walk towards her, whatever it was, it wasn't good, "what is going on?"

"So he doesn't know about Lex?" He avoided her question for the moment, though he knew he wouldn't be able to dodge it for long.

"No, I left him a voice mail and asked him to call me," she frowned harder and crossed her arms over her chest, watching him, "now answer my question."

He was silent for a moment. He was less than thrilled about having to tell her what he was doing, because he knew how she was going to react. "Tess and I are leaving town for a couple days. As a precaution."

"Because I said so," he responded, narrowing his eyes. He didn't want to fight with her. "She tried to argue with me about it. It wasn't her idea, Chloe. It was mine." He shook his head a little.

She had her own selfish reasons not to want Oliver anywhere near Tess, but it wasn't time to let those things interfere, "where are you going?"

"I don't know," he admitted. "We don't have a set plan. Just driving basically, until we find someplace to bunk down for the night."

Chloe just stared at him for a long moment then nodded, "sounds like a great, solid plan, Oliver," she told him sarcastically before walking away to one of the cabinets and starting to go through it.

"I won't use it unless I have to," he promised quietly. "I need to pack a bag. I'll be right back." He turned and headed up the stairs.

Sighing softly, she watched as he walked away then turned back to her computer, clearing the screen before typing quickly, narrowing her eyes a little as she activated both chips that she had just given him. She didn't like this idea, at all, but at least he had come to her and had told her what he was doing instead of just taking off with Tess.

Oliver fitted the clear chip over one of his back teeth, then quickly stuffed a few things into a bag, including a gun and a few hundred dollars in cash. He zipped up the duffle and headed down the stairs once more, pausing a few feet away from her.

She didn't even have to hear him approaching to know he was there, she was still testing the chips when he come back and was relieved to see both dots moving in her direction, "both chips are working," she told him quietly.
