An Open Fire. With chloeas.

Oliver lay on the floor of the cabin, stretched out in front of the fireplace, watching the flames dance and flicker before him. He glanced up when he caught sight of movement from the corner of his eye and smiled a bit when he turned to see Chloe staring out the window at the rapidly falling snow

She sipped on her coffee and smiled, watching the window for a second longer then turning to face him, "are you kidding me? I don't think my body is back to regular temperature yet."

He smiled. "Well, that's why I built the fire." He patted the floor beside him.

"Do you want coffee?" She asked as she stepped closer to him.

"No, I'm good," he assured her, turning to look back at the fire once more.

She picked up a pillow and moved to sit down next to him, taking a deep breath, "much better."

Oliver nodded slightly, offering her a soft smile. "Did you have a good time today?" he asked quietly, hoping she'd be honest one way or another.

With a nod, she looked at the fire for a long moment, and smiled softly, "yeah, it was nice," she turned to look at him, they had been out most of the day, Oliver trying to get her to stand on a pair of skis, and she had done an okay job at it, she had actually been able to relax enough to enjoy herself, "did you have a good time?"

He nodded again. "I did," he told her honestly, looking up and meeting her eyes. "And you did pretty well out there considering you'd never been on skis before."

"Like I said," she smiled, cocking her head to look at him, "I have a really good instructor."

Oliver grinned involuntarily and shrugged. "We work well together on all levels, apparently," he said without really thinking about it.

She grinned a little and shook her head, "that could have been highly inappropriate." She joked, not really thinking much of it.

He blinked and looked at her quickly, his mind going directly to that highly inappropriate place at her words. "Yeah, it could have been."

Raising her eyebrows a little, she smiled then turned to sip on her coffee again, "maybe tomorrow I'll be able to stand for over five minutes."

"You stood for more than five minutes," he countered. "But we do need to get more yoga into your training."

Nodding, she leaned back against the couch and looked at the fire, "yeah, I might have to pass on that today, my legs are actually sore."

He glanced at her with concern. "Which part?" he asked.
