Pursing her lips together, she nodded, straightening her back, "okay, I guess that much I can remember."

"We'll practice it until your body remembers without your mind having to," he told her seriously.

Chloe smiled a little and nodded at him, "thanks for doing this."

He smiled back faintly. "Don't have to thank me. I thought this was a good idea three years ago," he admitted.

Frowning curiously, she turned around to face him, "you did? Why?"

[dl_greenarrow]

"Well, because in general I want my entire team prepared. And you did start working for me back then."

[chloeas]

"Why didn't you say something?" she raised her eyebrows.

At that, he hesitated. "Come on, let's uh--let's get back to the training," he said, trying to dodge the question.

Chloe gave him a look and shook her head, "c'mon, tell me."

He recognized that look. It was the one that meant she wasn't going to let it go until he told her. He sighed a little and looked back at her. "Because of Clark."

"And what does Clark have to do with anything?" She cocked her head, squinting her eyes a little, but still a little amused.

He gave her a look. "You remember when Dinah attacked us on the roof of the Planet?"

Her eyebrows rose as she looked at him, having the feeling that she was about to find out something she didn't know, "yeah?"

"And you remember how you got hurt?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

[chloeas]

Rolling her eyes, she waved her hand, "I didn't really get hurt, but yeah, she would have kicked my ass if you hadn't gotten there on time."

"Yeah, well. The way Clark reacted, you would've thought you'd lost an arm or an eye," he said wryly.
