Now he had no idea what she was even talking about. "Sorry, Sidekick, but I'm afraid you've lost me now."

Blinking, she cocked her head and looked at him, "okay, maybe we're not talking about the same thing, then, what did you mean by 'before'?"

"When your power developed," he said, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

Blinking, she nodded, looking down and shrugging, "oh, right," she smiled a little, embarrassed, "I have no doubt you'd have been great back up to have."

"What were you talking about?" he asked quietly, reaching out and touching her arm.

She looked up at him and shrugged a little, "earlier this year. I'm not sure why, I guess... I was just thinking about it."

He was silent for a moment, studying her and nodding a little. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Shaking her head, she raised her eyebrows a little, "no, thank you, though," she smiled softly, "do you have anymore questions?"

He let his hand fall away from her arm as he shook his head. "No, I think that's it for now." He smiled faintly. "Should we get started on that training?"

"I've been ready for hours," she told him, tugging on her sweatpants for emphasis.

He grinned at that, nodding a little and standing up once more. "Not a bad look for you, Sidekick."

Rolling her eyes, she got up too, "I actually had to buy a pair, I haven't owned a pair of sweatpants, probably since I was seven or so."

He smirked. "Really, though, leather would be better."

That made her grin and she shook her head, "I told you, I couldn't pull it off like you can, especially not green leather," she paused at that, "not in pants, anyway."

He arched an eyebrow and gave her an appreciative glance. "Don't sell yourself short," he responded.

Smirking, she cocked her head a little, amused by the look on his face, "what was that for?"
