Oliver stood on the roof of the clock tower, staring blankly across the city, his elbows resting on the ledge. On one side of him there was a glass of whiskey, and on the other side, the rest of what was left of the bottle. It hadn't taken him long to drink a good half of it, but he was starting to think he was still in shock and not feeling the ( Read more... )

He had been sitting in the waiting room for hours. Four hours exactly since Oliver had left. At first, he though he had been hallucinating when he heard her calling for help, thought it was just his guilty conscious wishing he had answered her call earlier than what he had.

But when he heard her calling again, he didn't even think before getting up and going to find her. And he did. In the morgue. Alive.

After the shock wore off, he explained to her what had happened as well as he could and as soon as he was finished, she was dragging him out of the morgue, and out of the hospital and demanding he ran her to the clock tower and even as they stood in the elevator, he was still staring at her, still trying to process the fact that she was alive.

"Oliver!?" She called as soon as she stepped out of the elevator, looking around, she noticed the window was open and without even thinking about it, she climbed through it and towards the roof.

She still hadn't had time to really process what the hell had happened and even though Clark tried to explain, the whole waking up in a drawer thing was still freaking her out, but last time she had seen Oliver, he was bleeding to death so she had to see him and make sure he was okay before she could freak out.

At the sound of her voice, he shut his eyes, his throat tightening. He quickly downed the drink he'd just poured and slammed the empty glass down on the ledge. Either he was drunker than he realized or the guilt he felt was causing him to hallucinate.

"Oliver?" She called again, just as she reached the roof, sighing in relief when she saw him standing there and walking over to him.

Oliver let her lead the way inside, his mind still a bit dazed first by the fact that she'd died, and now by the fact that somehow she was alive again. Granted, he was extremely grateful for the latter.

"You should get cleaned up, Chloe," he said as they made their way inside.

Clark was sitting on the couch and looked up at them when they walked back in, relieved to see that both of them looked ok, he had been worried about Oliver too, but he hadn't been able to think that clearly until a few minutes ago.

But at Oliver's words, he realized that Chloe was still covered in blood, Oliver's blood and apparently, judging by the green shorts or... boxers? Oliver's... boxers?

Nodding a little, she glanced at Oliver then looked at Clark, "I'll take a quick shower and I'll be right back." She said quickly before disappearing down the hall.

Rubbing a hand over his face tiredly, Oliver made his way over to the sofa and dropped onto it silently, shutting his eyes. He drew in a breath and let it out slowly.

After a quick shower, Chloe changed and made her way back to the living room, she had been incredibly dirty, she hadn't realized how much blood he had lost, there was so much of it, it soaked through the clothes and her skin had been covered in it. She had also realized that she had been wearing Oliver's clothes and it wasn't until she had stepped into the bathtub that she noticed the toe tag hanging from her foot. Definitely didn't get any creepier than that. Or so she hoped.

She was surprised to see both of them standing there and raised her eyebrows a little but didn't say anything, 'every okay?' didn't sound like an appropriate question to ask.

Clark paused when he saw Chloe walking towards the living room and looked over at her, "I was, hm, just about to leave, need to feed the cows."

Oliver gazed at him for a moment, then slowly turned to look at Chloe. "I need to shower," he murmured.

Pursing her lips together, she nodded a little at Oliver, "okay," she told him, a little worried.

"I thought I'd lost you," he said very quietly, not letting go of her hand.

"I thought I'd lost you too," she said just as quietly.

Oliver reached out with his other hand and cupped her cheek, pulling her closer and kissing her softly.

Chloe wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him back, holding on to him.

Oliver drew in a breath. "I'm gonna get dressed. Why don't you get hacked into those files?" he suggested. "Then I'm going to the hospital to snatch any hard copies that are there."

Her eyes widened a little at his words, "the sun is up, Oliver, you can't break into the hospital now."

He managed a faint, amused smile at her concern. "I'm not going as the Green Arrow," he assured her.

Cocking her head, she watched him, "what makes you think that's a good idea?" She frowned, worried as she started to process what that could mean and she was suddenly very nervous about the whole situation.

"It's bad enough that they have something on me at all, I don't know what kind of weird things they found with me while I was out, and I've drawn enough attention by breaking out of a morgue drawer, if you show up there and demand my records, no matter how much money you throw at them, they will still know there is something wrong with me."
