Jealous!Oliver for
chloeas:
He’d never been the jealous type before he’d fallen in love with Chloe Sullivan. He had everything a person could ever want--what was there to be jealous of? Even before he and Chloe had begun dating, he’d noticed the way other men would look at her. She was a beautiful woman. But in addition to the fact that for whatever reason she was generally oblivious to the attention paid to her, Chloe handed her heart to very few, and he considered himself extremely lucky to be one of them. And despite the fact that was true, Oliver felt somehow undeserving of her.
He wasn’t used to getting the one thing he’d craved his entire life--real love--and the fear of losing that was something that he struggled to deal with on a regular basis. So when someone like Dean Winchester came along and began flirting with Chloe, he couldn’t help but feel tense.
He’d done his research. When the man had shown up in Smallville asking for Chloe Sullivan, expert at all things meteor-related, he’d found out within an hour exactly who the man was, what he did, and more than a little about his reputation when it came to women.
Oliver’s own reputation when it came to women left something to be desired, but that was the past. It would always be just the past now. And no one, not even some suave demon hunter was going to change that.
Strolling over to the table where Chloe and Dean were sitting across from one another, he sat down beside Chloe, resting a hand lightly on the small of her back and smiling at her when she turned her head to look at him, offering him that beautiful sunshine smile that had made him fall in love with her in the first place. Wordlessly, he kissed her, soft and tenderly, his fingers stroking her back ever-so-slightly.
When the kiss ended, Chloe was still smiling, but it was more of an amused smile than before and he had no doubt she knew what he was up to. Turning his head to look at Dean, he met the other man’s knowing smirk with a warning smirk of his own.
Moments later, after their conversation was finished, Dean shook both their hands and headed away from the table, leaving he and Chloe alone.
There was a glint of amusement in her eyes. “So what was that?” she asked, even though she knew.
Of course she knew. Because she knew him.
“Just making sure he didn’t get any ideas,” he told her, lifting a hand to her face.
“Even if he did, I’m not interested,” she told him, tilting her head a little.
Oliver nodded slightly. “I know,” he whispered. “I don’t doubt you. You know that right?”
She knew. She touched his cheek in return. “I know. But no one--not Lex Luthor or Dean Winchester or anyone else--is going to take me away from you. I won’t let them.”
He dipped his head and kissed her again, his fingers tangling gently in her golden hair. “Let’s go home, Sidekick.”
Chloe smiled against his lips. “Best idea I’ve heard all day.”
And Over-Protective!Oliver for
furtum_est_vita:
Oliver was walking down the corridor when he heard a familiar voice protesting. “No, I work for Mr. Queen.” As he turned the corner, he saw one of his employees, a new hire that he’d been a little uncertain about but had decided to give him a chance, holding onto the pretty brunette’s arm tightly.
“I doubt that very much,” he responded, eyeing her with disdain. “I’ve never seen you before.”
“Considering you just started working for me, Mr. Nelson, that’s probably why,” Oliver said coolly as he rounded the corner and approached them. “Allow me to introduce you. This is Bela Talbot. She’s my new fund-raising coordinator.” He gazed at the man with warning in his eyes.
Immediately Mr. Nelson let go of her arm.
“I have to ask, at your former place of employment, did you manhandle a lot of young women?” He arched an eyebrow.
Flustered, Mr. Nelson quickly shook his head. “Of course not.”
“I’d advise at your next position, you learn to refrain from it, as well,” Oliver told him.
“My next…”
He simply gazed at the other man with a neutral expression.
“Goddammit,” he muttered, heading away, tossing his hat down onto the floor.
Bela looked at him with surprise. “Mr. Queen--”
“Oliver,” he corrected her with a warm smile. “I don’t tolerate anyone abusing my staff in any way.”
She smiled faintly in response. “Well, that’s appreciated.”
He nodded. “Did you need something?”
“I was just on my way to turn in the rest of my employment papers,” she told him, holding them up.
Oliver took them from her. “Has anyone shown you where your office is?”
She shook her head. “No. Not yet.”
“Well, allow me.” He led her down the corridor, pulled out his keys and unlocked the door to the corner office. “Here you are.”
She looked around, wide eyed.
He smiled faintly at her reaction. “If you need anything, don’t hesitate to let me know.” He headed away down the hall. He was pretty sure that when Bela had agreed to come and work for him, she hadn’t expected to get a protective big brother-type for a boss. But that’s what she was getting.
