Oliver had just sat down to a plate of leftover fettuccinni in his Star City apartment when a familiar gust of wind blew it right off the table.

He groaned, rubbing a hand over his face and moving to clean it up as he shook his head. "Bart, man, you gotta quit doing that," he grumbled.

"You're welcome." His voice was just as quiet. "Pretty sure Clark's got this under control. Should get you out of here." He glanced around the place and grimaced. It reminded him far too much of a room in one of Lex's 33.1 facilities.

With a deep breath, she nodded and looked around for a moment then located her purse, picking it up and starting to the door.

He followed her, but not too closely, figuring she wouldn't like it very much. "You sure you're all right? Do you need me to take you to Met Gen?" he asked, momentarily forgetting it wasn't a possibility considering he didn't have a car.

"I'm okay," she said quietly, still looking down as she dug through her purse, trying to find her keys, "do you... need a ride?"

Right. Of course her car was there. The building was in Suicide Slums. Walking after dark there wasn't exactly very smart.

"No. I'm good," he told her.

At that, she turned to look at him, he wasn't wearing his Green Arrow gear and considering Clark had been right behind him... "how did you get here?"

"Bart," he said simply, shrugging a little. He was surprised the younger man hadn't returned, as well.

"I'll give you a ride back to the clock tower," she told him quietly, finally pulling her keys out of her purse. It was about thirty minutes out of her way, but there was no one in hell she was leaving him in this neighborhood.

"No." His voice was quiet, but firm. "Just go home, Chloe. Take a shower, try to relax. You've been through enough tonight." He moved away from her, heading down the sidewalk without glancing back at her. Besides. He needed the air to help clear his head.

"I'm not leaving you here," she followed him, walking quickly so she could catch up, "if you don't want me to drive you, I will wait for Bart to show up."

Because regardless of how messed up things were between them, she cared about him and she would never forgive herself if something happened to him because she was stupid and he had to come to help her.
