Alright, my trip to Milwaukee was awesome! Interestingly I only got lost twice due to construction. Apparently I694 is under construction and has a few detours I was unaware of, so one moment I’m driving on I694 heading around Minneapolis/St. Paul and the next thing I know I’m seeing signs telling me I’m now traveling on I35E. To say Greg got woken up suddenly is an understatement. He gets us unlost and back to driving I go… only to get to Milwaukee. As we’re driving past Miller Stadium I realize I have forgotten the directions on my kitchen table at home, but not to worry I’ll just go by memory. Bad idea, oh what a bad idea. I got lost, then didn’t want to stop for directions until Greg threatened me, he bought a map and got us unlost… then made sure my dad heard about it and I heard about it from both of them all of Friday night and all day Saturday.
Last night I visited the barn where my brother works to see the 3 new foals. Oh are they cute. One is 4 days old, another is 2 weeks old, and another is about 1 ½ months old. I took a ton of pictures of Erik, Tina, and Greg with the horses. A good time was had by both man and beast. J
The best part of the trip would have to when we stopped, on the way down, to visit “The Cheese Chalet”. You’re typical tourist place off the interstate, only better because it had a giant cow in front… so I made Greg stand beside it so I could take a picture. While doing so I almost got run over by a car (or two).
