(prologue) Code Name JJ0126 (Chapter 1)
The black haired man slumped tiredly on the driver seat of his jet black Honda Accord, his sharp chin carelessly placed on the soft leather of the steering wheel. He had been waiting for more than an hour now but his target was nowhere to be seen even though the schedule showed that Jung Yunho was supposed to end his lesson an hour before. Irritated, Jaejoong could not hold back a soft grunt as he stretched his lean, muscular body and popped a few knotted joints, acting very much like a feline, a lazy and arrogant one at that. Reaching for the scattered documents on his side, the black haired man took a piece of slightly crumpled paper and skimmed through the information again, just in case he had left out something crucial - which he pretty much believed that he did not. He was a professional after all.
“Jung Yunho, twenty three years old, master degree student in Seoul National University, father is a wealthy businessman… wealth again huh?” mumbling to himself, Jaejoong read through the information for the umpteenth time as he occasionally raised his head to look at the university entrance. However, from his current condition, it seemed that he had absolutely no luck in spotting his prey. Or he had probably allowed his prey to slip away under his close scrutiny. Jaejoong did not like that assumption, not at all. The idea of wasting his whole afternoon waiting for nothing was slowly getting to him, making his usually mild temper spiked ever slightly.
Leaning back onto his car seat, the raven haired man finally came to a decision. He was going to wait for fifteen minutes more and if his target still refused to show himself, he would simply hunt him down, easy.
Failure, this word was forever banned from his life.

“Yunho-hyung…” the childish plea rang out, followed by an irritated grunt, accompanied with an amused chuckle and Yunho smiled.
“Sorry guys, those girls are more persistent than I thought,” the lean figure with a shock of warm brown hair apologized, not sounding sincere at all, not bothering to do so either. And that earned another amused chuckle from the person sitting beside him, another irritated grunt from the person sitting two seats beside him and another childish whine from the person sitting three seats beside him. Yunho smiled inwardly at the antics that he adored so much, but he was not planning to give in any time soon. Being completely immune to those deadly puppy-eyes and cute whines due to years of training, he was really glad for that right now.
“It’s all your fault. Can’t you just be a little less good-looking?” the irritated voice rang out again, and the young man stomped his foot just to add points to his cuteness. Not that he really needed those points though - he was cute enough as he was.
“I’m so sorry, Junsu. It’s not my fault that God is being a little unfair, making me such a good-looking man and all,” Yunho said in his feign serious tone of voice and grunted when a solid punch connected with his muscular bicep right after he finished his narcissistic sentence. Glaring half heartedly at his assailant, Yunho slumped to the wall and leaned his head back, showing a column of tanned, sexy neck line that he was so very proud of.
“Yoochun-hyung, think of something with that mind of yours will you? I don’t want to die here,” the youngest among the four - Changmin - whined pitifully and buried his head into his arms, defeated. All thanks to Yunho’s brilliant plan, they were stuck in the physics lab hiding away from girls that never knew when to quit. Not that he blamed it all on Yunho, the four of them contributed fairly to their own amount of fan girls after all. With their good grades, good looks and most importantly, good family backgrounds, it was relatively easy for them to be the four most wanted and highly eligible bachelor in their university - a thing that he did not really enjoy in this case. They were stuck in a freaking physics lab because of that. And his lunchtime was long due.
“Jump out of the window. Anyone?” Yoochun did not even spare a look at the other three as he gave his idea, sounding all casual and uninterested. However, he did not expect that his half-assed suggestion actually stirred a huge round of reactions, unexpected reactions, from his fellow friends.
“Oh. My. God. Yoochun, you are so fucking brilliant!” Junsu was the first to recover from his gloomy state as he exclaimed and circled his arms around Yoochun’s shoulder, smiling exuberantly as he did so. Why on earth he had never thought of using the window?! Yoochun was really a lifesaver sometimes.
“I love your mind, Yoochun-hyung. I really do,” another pair of arms snaked around Yoochun’s shoulder and Changmin closed his eyes in a blissful state, positively glad that they could finally get out of the hell hole. And even more glad that he could get to his lunch, his oh-so-lovely lunch in no time.
Yunho stared blankly the heart-warming scene unfolded in front of him, rubbing the back of his neck in exasperation as he did so. “Uh, I don’t want to spoil the moment but we’re at the second floor if you guys haven’t noticed that. Yet,” talking in a sarcastic manner, Yunho pointed a long, slender forefinger at the half opened window as he gave the trio a blank stare. Sometimes, he really wondered why those guys were actually the top students in their own respective faculty. It was an unresolved mystery for him. It really was.
“Why? Are you shy to show off your skills?” Junsu who was still plastered closely to Yoochun’s side drawled in a teasing way, at the same time batting his eyelashes flirtatiously. Yunho stared and stared and he did not say a thing as he cuffed Junsu on the head, not showing any mercy in his action. The whine and pout that quickly followed were of course, ignored.
“Use your brain, people. Brain. This is the place we study. Do you want everyone to know about us?” Yunho said in a hushed tone, again sounding desperate. He really wondered how those guys could top the scores in their own faculty. It did not seem that they were particularly bright right now, not during most of the time as well.
“If we’re skilful enough, we won’t be noticed,” not bothering about the two life forms glued onto his body, Yoochun gave Yunho a knowing look as he spoke softly. He really did not want to stay in the lab any longer. And from the reactions of his friends, he was definitely not alone with this proposition.
“Yunho-hyung, please…?” Changmin who was silent all the time finally spoke again, purposely lacing his voice with adorable whines and pleas as he stared at Yunho with his puppy eyes. He knew Yunho was immune to most of his skills, but luckily, not all. This kind of highly adorable voice along with the puppy eyes combination was definitely a skill that Yunho was not immune to. It was one of the few tricks that he still proudly kept in his sleeves after all this time.
“Changmin, NOT that look,” giving the youngest man a warning gaze, Yunho forced himself not to give in - not that he was succeeding anyway. Changmin was a sneaky one, keeping all those skills hidden and using them during times like this. How on earth he was going to refuse a look like that, damn it!
“Okay, it’s decided then. Let’s go,” knowing that Yunho had already lost the battle from the very start, Yoochun said in a cheerful tone of voice as he picked up his sling bag from the floor with one hand, at the same time pushing the window wider with the other. Junsu did not say a thing when he followed Yoochun’s lead but his furiously nodding head signalled that he agreed fully with what Yoochun had just said. Swiftly, both of them jumped out of the window without sparing another look at the gaping brown haired man. It was fun, riling Yunho up that was.
“I’ll be leaving first, Yunho-hyung,” Changmin gave a cute little wave at the still gaping Yunho before he too, leaped out of the window with his bag hanging loosely from his broad shoulder. Looking at the now empty physics lab, Yunho cursed under his breath, feeling all dark and gloomy. Those friends of his, sometimes they really did not have very much of a brain. Finally making up his mind, Yunho too slipped past the window with his movement swift and skilful, not making even a single sound as he did that. And when he landed with a soft thud at the narrow outside of the window sill, he was greeted by the silly grinning faces of his three very happy looking friends.
“Go, go, go,” seeing that their final member was finally with them, Junsu waved his hand for a little as he whispered the word repeatedly to the others, feigning urgency with his brows furrowed and his voice hushed. Being the ever cooperative friend he was, Yoochun immediately replied with an affirmative as he joined Junsu in the little role-playing game enthusiastically. Changmin was pretty fast to follow the trend as he too, leaned closed to the wall and whispered in urgency, “Coast clear! Move out! Move out!”
Yunho stared, and stared more. He had a distinct feeling that he would, at some point, bang his head on the wall just for the sake of it. Sighing, he followed the trio with his steps firm and confident, not even taking this as a challenge as this was not a hard task for him or for them generally. They could be really stealthy when they wanted to be. They were no ordinary rich kids after all.
But, despite doing a very great job at that, what all of them did not notice was the pair of obsidian eyes which were staring at them from afar, the gaze intense and unmoving, the intention dark and dangerous.
The prey, he did not have the slightest idea that he had been spotted.
