And so it begins . . . again . . .

Ah yes boys and girls, tis the season to costume until your eyes fall out.
I am building my first ever set of Henrician Men's, add to that, they're Nobles.
I don't do Nobles. I play middle class, know why? Because I get to be me, just me 500 odd years ago. I don't have to worry about whether my costume is too sparkly or not sparkly enough. I don't have to spend money on silks and velvets and trim and jewelry and all that, I'm all sorts of happy with my bargain counter Linen and Wool with my leather belt and apron.
Fraking Nobles.
I spent all day today putting on trim and shiny things, and laying out the pattern on the Doublet, Base and Sleeves for said shiny things. I'm pretty happy with it so far. We'll see how it looks when I'm all done. I'm going to trow up my to do list, just so I can look at it. You can look too, and for those of you counting, I have about a week to do it all due to time constraints.

Irish (the person not the country)

Doublet with Sleeves

Mostly all cut out, still being trimmed and decorated, then to be sewn together.

ME

Make Smock
Make something resembling an apron

Amy

Kirtle
Overdress
Sleeves
Hat

Nothing even started, only just chose fabric.

Mah Boys

Vests 1/4

And of course none of them sew, It's a good thing they're hot.

So there we have it. My to do list. Thank god for coffee and all nighters.
Stupid school. Stupid work. Taking up my time. ::grumble grumble::

I'm frikn' going to bed.
