"Today, I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth."
-Lou Gherig, in his farewell speech to Yankee Stadium on July 4, 1939.
Lou, the Iron Horse, is wrong. He had a great life, but he should consider me the luckiest man on the face of the earth. At least, I consider myself to be that man. I haven't been given a tough break as Lou had, but I have my best days to come. I have seen my fair share of downs, but all of those downs have prepared me for my latest (and probably biggest) upper ever.
Many of you may not know or care.
I know I've found my greatest friend.
DK out.
