For those who have the second DVD of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Region 1 version, I would like to direct your attention to the sixth chronological episode (or the last broadcast episode). I'll place the rest under an LJ-cut for spoiler reasons.
The event is when Kyon is running away with Haruhi from the giant of light, and Kyon asks Haruhi whether she'll miss all the friends she met in the Real World, and Haruhi responds that they'll definitely be there. I generally use Media Player Classic to watch my DVDs, and the timestamp on it says 01:05:23 (out of 01:36:17).
I've upsized the image to 848x480 (from 720x480), because of the aspect ratio weirdness inherent in DVDs.
Now, the question I have is: does anyone else see a sort of very faint greenish tinge around Haruhi's nose and mouth, and between her eyes?
It looks like something is very slightly off with the colours. I noticed it when idly paging through the AviSynthed version with ConvertToRGB24(), and thought that it was a problem there. But no, this looks native to the DVD source.
Anyone have any insights to this?
