so last night, i picked up some baby food and pedialyte on my way home. baby food jars are so cute, all small and stuff. :o) i also picked up a baby bottle, thinking i could mix a solution and get her to drink from the bottle.
right.
so i walked into the house, to harley mewling like she was being killed. this helped reaffirm the thought that she's going to be such a noisy bitch later. so i mixed up a solution, poured it into the bottle and headed into the bathroom. i held it out to her and squeezed the bottle a little, so she could smell a few drops. and suddenly, i had the demon hell-kitten from the seventh abyss. she grabbed at it with her paws and started to chew on the nipple, making grunting noises that would have been cute, if she hadn't been so fucking violent.
ack. lunch. i'll be back.

why i love ozzy, reason #374: Rocker Ozzy Osbourne is set to play his sold out show in Toronto despite the SARS epidemic sweeping the city. Ozzy vows that the show must go on even though his insurance company refuses to cover his June 11th show at the Air Canada Centre. "I'm not afraid of SARS. I have a commitment and somebody needs to be there for the fans in Toronto," says Ozzy. [press release]

so where was i. oh, right. so, i fed harley, letting her gorge, which i later realized wasn't a good idea. but anyhow. she'd made a mess of herself, there was food on her face, her fur, so i let her food settle for about half an hour and then gave her a bath. she was very cute, maowing and mewling all over the place, but it was warm water, and eventually she calmed down. i dried her off and she was shivering, so i plugged the heating pad in and wrapped the damp kitten in a dry towel, and set her down next to me. very cute. we started watching
the philadelphia story, which was pretty funny, a little annoying. she must have knocked off around 11:30-ish, so i moved her back to the bathroom where she's being quarantined and read the beginning of
testament (which was dull, just as jorie had warned) and went to sleep.
woke up at six a.m. to mom calling, saying she was in pasadena early and not saying that she was bored and for me to come meet her. (she does this by asking, "oh, are you at work?" yeah, mom. i'm up and at work at six a.m. just like you.) so i threw on some clothes, fed harley, and dashed out to pasadena. picked up mom and went to
goldstein's bagel bakery for bagels. and coffee, which mom accidently spilled in my lap. then i dropped her back off, ran home to feed harley again and took off to work. argh.
*sigh*
i'm tired. kinda cut short a lot of plans this week to spend time with harley. and i'm obsessively paranoid about rix or cookie getting anything, so.. yeah. the kitchen's a wreck, as is most of the living room. and jorie's friend, babs, is here from vancouver, so i should really tidy up at some point. argh.
argh. argh. argh.
but
ozzfest is only a few weeks away!!! *madly screaming* i'm so looking forward to him. second to him, it's marilyn and korn. i'm not too thrilled with chevelle, other than "the red", and disturbed is only a little better. i guess i'm not so psyched about them because all their stuff sounds kinda the same and that sound isn't as appealing to me. though disturbed has some great "white-noise" stuff.
*sigh* pit tix to ozzfest. how much sweeter does it get.
hey, i think adema is coming up. i want to go see them. adema rocks.
okay, kiddies. i'm off to do some work now. be back later.
