*Laughs* Well, here is a MUCH smaller follow up to the “Faces of India” set. Here are three pictures of “Feet of India.”
The first two pictures are of the front poler/punter/gondolier of our boat. The first picture shows him as he has just planted the pole (see shadow) and is about to walk back along the rail of the boat for a few meters to push us forward. The second picture shows him standing on a pile of shells destined to be crushed and turned into lime. It was another of the ecotourism stops on the backwater cruise.
This last picture is of the same girl who is looking back over her shoulder at the beach in the “Faces of India” set. I told you she was photogenic! Even her feet with anklets turn a coconut that has washed up on the beach into a lovely shot.
Stay tuned to Kevin_in_Japan. I'll be bringing my laptop to school with me for the next few days to work on journaling. The next entry will be about the actual Habitat work. It won’t be as pretty, but it will show you the real reason I came to India.
