What are you doing in 09?
Okay, so, this is probably a REALLY crazy idea, BUT, I wanted to run it by some of you to see if any of you wanted to go with me since I've decided I WILL be going next year.
There's this event called "Burning Man" out in Arizona, I believe, in August. It's a week long event in the desert. People travel from all over the world, all different backgrounds; basically, for art. It's a complete form of expression that involves man made cars that light up the night, crazy artwork made out of plastic cups, theme camps that let you interact with your surroundings.
If you've never heard of burning man, check out www.burningman.com, and I'll try to post a couple pictures to give you an idea of what's going to be going down. I'm going to try and find some people on myspace or around that have been to burning man so I can figure out what to do with the living area. I don't see tents, more along the line of man made tents for the day. Plus, if there's dust flying around, we don't want to be stuck in the middle of it, haha.
I'm not sure what's going down with it yet or not, I literally just came across the page again and saw this one picture and decided I REALLY wanted to go ... My theme's going to be totally go-go style ... OH! You basically get around on bicycle's in the area, too, not many cars but only ones that are all done up. I saw this girl on one of those GIANT bicycle's that you have to literally climb to sit on top of and I might sport one of those.
But really, it's just a blast. You're going to run into some creepy ass people that you think are psychotic because of the way they dress, but you're also going to be completely inspired!
