Yup, the Harper government announced 5 million dollars for women's programs today. While this is good, I'm also going to point out that it's just replacing the 5 million they took away when they closed 12 of 16 women's centres across the country.
Essentially, it's not new funding folks. Don't get any ideas that these jokers actually care, an election will be called once this spring's budget doesn't pass. Which is the only reason that they did it because they know they don't have the support of the majority of women. These are the same guys who called Belinda Stronach a whore for switching parties and then gleefully took the defecting David Emerson the day after the election! No one called him a whore...oh no...the Cons cheered him on, being the good little band of hypocrites that they are.
