Oh Arthur, you're in a bad place right now. Good thing you have your memories, and apparently can be possessed by an alter version of himself. But I'm sure all he needs is a sword and a half baked plan to get out of a sticky situation.
I'm really worried about Gwaine. Damn program.
Gotta say, you're still doing a great job weaving these two verses together.
Things will get better for Arthur, I promise. *nods* He manages to persevere. Arthur actually will end up pulling Excalibur out of the stone in this fic. And because we can't make it too easy, the sword's not exactly in the safest place. :(
Gwaine and Elena will get help, don't worry. I can't bear to kill them off. Yes, the program is horrible (it's so much worse in "Never Let Me Go" :().
You're welcome! :) Thank you for reading. I'm glad you like my descriptions. Yes, Arthur really should've avoided The Rider. But The Rider is taking the subtle approach with Arthur, which is both a good and bad thing. *lips are sealed* ;)
Thanks for sticking with this. I appreciate it. :)
Only a reference to my all-time favourite 'Dark is Rising' series could have induced me to read a modern merlin fic. :) I really did enjoy it !...the Rider was just as scary. I also liked how in-charge Bran is in this story. I look forward to another installment. :) Thank you.
Thank you for reading and commenting. :) I read the book series when I was younger, and it's definitely one of my favorites too.
I'm glad you gave this story a chance. Arthur should be worried...the Rider isn't an adversary to go against lightly. I'm glad his portrayal worked for you, that's what my goal was -- to make him scary. I enjoyed writing Bran here. As you can imagine, Arthur and him might butt heads a bit when Arthur arrives.
I'm in the midst of working on the next chapter now. You're welcome. :)
Thanks! Yes, they definitely are even in the series (the Rider does mind control on one of Will's sisters to hurt Will...to make him feel like it was his fault because he was an Old One that put a family member in danger).
